Your Value

Recently, I’ve broken things off with a now-ex-friend of mine who became someone who I thought he wasn’t. He was quite frankly an ass with honesty that could be too brutal at times and in our final communication, he left some pretty stinging words that made me question whether I was valuable to the people closest to me. As I pondered this, I came across this quote which made me see the light at the end of what seemed like endless tunnel.

My value doesn’t decrease just because someone doesn’t see the full extent of it. You decide what your value is and if others don’t see your worth, then it’s their loss. It’s your gain because you don’t need their negativity around you to make you feel worthy.

THIS IS YOUR LIFE, NOT THEIRS!

Don’t let other people’s emotions dictate how you choose to feel about yourself and how you live your life. They sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Words may hurt but they sure as hell don’t kill.
